I love this, it's very Clark Kent. The top half with the flicked hair, spectacles and oxford shirt is preppy while the jeans and sandals add an athletic note. It's quite hard to carry off gladiator sandals, you need good feet, many guy's look too pale or bony. Jose here is lean yet sporty looking so it works.
